I know it's already February (how it is I'm not sure) but today was SO super cold in Hiroshima that the day left me dreaming of New Hampshire/Boston/New York. B's parents are moving back to New Zealand this year so this was the perfect last USA winter holiday sendoff for the McKenzie clan. Here are more pics from my snowy old holiday.

COLD-Y
The last three nights I have taken a cold medicine before bed to help unclog my blocked nose. The last three nights I have woken B with my sleep talking. I am not a sleep talker. The first night I rolled over in bed, patted B on the chest and said "Good boy", as if talking to baby O. The second night I said "Shoes off", another phrase for O. Last night I even woke myself up laughing hysterically, although I don't recall explaining that I was stuck in a kite. Tonight I am ditching the medicine. Night, night..

Mamiya/Sekor Auto XTL
My Christmas prezzie from B this year was a new old camera with all the trimmings. I love, love, love it! I took it with me on our trip to the USA. Here are a few family shots on our way to this amazing place..

HALLOWEEN
Every year a few very dedicated Moms in Hiroshima throw a kids Halloween party in a neighborhood park. It has become quite legendary so I was excited to whip together a costume for Baby O and head along.
Wow! It was quite amazing. O was a bit little to join in all the pinata hitting, apple bobbing, donut eating fun but had a good run around none the less.
I was happy with how the Oscar the Grouch (get it..?) outfit turned out so it was a shame it was too stinking hot to wear all day.
Can't wait until next year!

AUTUMN IN THE PARK
Last weekend was another long one so on Monday we made the most of the gorgeous autumn day and met friends in the park down the road. We had a lovely time with all the kids and super cute babies. Auntie Erin taught us how to peel a mandarin into an elephant shape.

WHANGAPOUA
I am sooooo missing this place right now. My husbands families beach house in the Coromandel, New Zealand. It is strange not having summers there, driving along the Thames Coast Road and staring out the window at the Pohutukawa Trees. I heart NZ.
